Swedish Syncro Doka - Fogs and Washer Pump
My Syncro Doka was from the frozen North(Sweden) so came with Day time running lights and washer pump for the head lights. There is a separate wiring diagram which I kindly got from the Syncro Sport site. My fog light switch has obviously had new wiring to it as it has a black and a red wire - I presume this is because of the 10 inch spot lights it also came with which have their own relay. Question is - what is the simplest way to get the rear fog light working for the MOT? Secondly any idea why the Headlamp Washer pump would work off the stalk? it works when tested but I can't get it to work (is there a trick to this)

Simplest way is to swap the bulb holders over and run a wire from the left to the right , I wonder if the headlight washers only work
When the headlights are on
Black n red is usually brake light
Have you got a link to the wiring diagram, im
Currently refitting my dash and going through the wiring

Re: Swedish Syncro Doka - Fogs and Washer Pump
Hi David , Apologies I wasn't clear . The switch has a red wire and a black wire running to it and a brown to the bulb. Obviously when I took the dash out I have "lost" some of the wiring. I think the wiring to the bulb holder is fine ,its the bit to/from the switch. I have tried the washers with lights on - the only thing I haven't tried is engine running . I suspect it's a wiring issue to do with the DRL circuit. Does the fog light have to only work when the headlights are on? Is that an MOT thing or does it just need to work on the switch?davidoft1 wrote: ↑21 Oct 2024, 21:48 Simplest way is to swap the bulb holders over and run a wire from the left to the right , I wonder if the headlight washers only work

I have got the bulletin - a more general point is how I can access the rear of the fusebox to check the wiring as its so tight - I can't really see what's plugged where?

Red - permanent live
Black - ignition switched live
Brown - earth
PS foglights should only work with either sidelights or dip on afaik.

Disconnect battery earth then you can safely unscrew the screw on the bottom of the relay/fuseboard and lift it up and off the carrier plate and slightly down and forward and that improves things to the point you can access the upper relays and fuseholders, but access isn't great on a lhd because of the steering column and dash binnacle and everything being on the left side, one of the few times rhd is better for maintenance
