We could probably do with some more info, please.
Engine - I see from other threads, it is a 2.1 injection.
Gearbox code if you know it,
(One of our transmission experts may know of certain weaknesses on certain boxes).
And "under load",
Is that any level of acceleration, or just hard acceleration, or climbing an incline, when the van has a heavy / full load.?
I am not going to infer the obvious, changing up the gears too early.
Also is that in any direction, turning left and/or turning right? (Insecure drive shafts or joint wear).
Obviously 4 and 5 th gears also infer higher speeds, therefore potential resonance as well as bearing or gear wear. Or even defective, under-inflated tyres.
Also any associated noises?
Gear whine, droning, clunking on taking up drive?

1983 Tin Top with a poorly DF and 4 speed DT box.
