How to replace rubber boots behind rear light cluster

Post by bessiebelle »

I'm trying to replace the rubber boots behind the rear light cluster

I can't figure out how to detach the connector from the light so I can slip the old boot off and new boot on

Is there a clip or something? My brute force isn't working

Have checked Haynes, nothing...

The boots are these ones https://brickwerks.co.uk/product/protec ... ht-wiring/

remove battery negative.
Pull white connector out pf light. No clips anywhere.

remove all wires. The crimps are with tangs so a small screwdriver down the back.
Spray dilute detergent on the cable/rubber grommet.
remove rubber grommet.

Reverse.
