Hot manifold
Noticed the right hand side manifold on my dells is hotter than the left hand side, especially the back port near cylinder 1 is the hottest. What can cause this. Also number 1 plug is very sooty.

Re: Hot manifold
The intake manifold is getting hot?
Does it run OK?
I'd be a little concerned that the intake valve isn't sealing correctly - It would be worth checking valve clearances and/or do a compression test.

Re: Hot manifold
Starts OK, popping on idle and deceleration and loss of power. I've checked all the usual suspects . Valve clearances all tight as I have hydraulic tappets but will check cylinder 1 intake and exhaust valves again in case there is a problem with them.
