Fridge gas igniter

Post by Freddievan »

My fridge gas igniter isn't working.  I've dug up a couple of posts on here and the fuse seems to be on the drivers side seatbelt post but I can't find it.  Can anyone help me locate where the fuse is so that I can check it?  Thanks

Fridge gas igniter

I’m assuming your van is a Westy… on our Club Joker the fuse is located in a small black plastic box, about the size of a matchbox, that’s screwed onto the forward facing end of the kitchen unit just below the level of the seat belt reel.

There should be a 25A fuse for the heating and a 16A fuse for the fridge and water pump.

Thanks... and sorry, should have specified, it's a 1991 Holdsworth Villa conversion.  I'll double-check what you've said but don't think there's anything on the kitchen unit.

does the van have a zig unit ? switched fridge power supply from there, should be fused, may have a neon - they do differ

Sorted.  Just fiddled with the switches on the zig unit and it works.  Many thanks

Definitely worth getting the Zig unit checked over by a competent person, next time it causes an issue it might cause a fire - have a look for a caravan/camper/boat electrician who does safety certificate work near you
