Adventure Overland Show - last one ever

Post by HarryMann »

As you may know the last ever Adventure Overland show is taking place 13-15th September. We have been  in contact with Tom and he has reserved a camping spot for us. (Please see message below from Tom.) would be good to start a roll call to give us an idea if numbers - please sign up below.
Camping booking is the same as always - www.ticketsource.co.uk/adventureoverlandshow

Simply ask members when they arrive at the racecourse to ask for the “Club 80-90 Syncronauts Group Area”, they will be directed to the Club/Group Area.

So you know, pre-event camping is possible from 13:00 Monday 9th September 2024 @ £15.00 per night for any size camping unit (tent or any size vehicle), any number of people on board. Pay cash on arrival, plastic not accepted. NOTE: Due to safety reasons, the camping gate closes every night at 19:00, whereupon an Overnight Holding Area (with full camping facilities) operates until 09:00 the following morning.

I think you just book the size pitch you need then tell them you are with the 80-90 group when you arrive at the gate (it may be necessary for someone to let them know the numbers beforehand, as there is indication on the tickets or booking I can see).

found this on their site:-
'Club people' ourselves, it follows that our shows are very much geared towards clubs and enthusiasts. If you belong to an official club, Facebook group, forum or simply a group of friends who are into camping, then by all means contact us at 4x4trading@talk21.com about a club/group display stand at the upcoming joint ADVENTURE OVERLAND & CAMPERVAN SHOW.

The actual pitches are free (members simply book & pay for standard camping via http://www.ticketsource.co.uk/adventureoverlandshow in the normal way), but instead of being dotted around the show's campsites, upon arrival after having their ticket scanned, they simply inform the Gate Marshal they are on the X club/group display stand, they will then be directed to their respective pitch.
The criteria is simple ... six vehicles minimum per club/group. Here the club/group can not only promote themselves by displaying their best vehicles for the public to view during the show’s opening hours, it means they can also stay together at night by camping on one pitch all weekend. Pitch size is anything from 6 vehicles to 106, we have the space!

And this:-
To reserve a "Group Area Plot" one nominated person from the friends has to email myself Tom McGuigan at 4x4trading@talk21.com with the three Ticketsource Reference Numbers. I will then allocate a "Group Area Plot" 150 sq m in size, and reply with a "Group Area Plot" number (e.g. GAP 14).

Upon arrival all the three friends have to do is ask the Gate Marshal for GAP 14, who will direct them there. Even if they arrive at separate times, they will still seek out GAP 14.
BOOKING DEADLINE FOR "GROUP AREA PLOTS": Wednesday 11th September 2024.

So it looks like we will need to add our Ticketsource Reference Numbers to the attendance list so they can be let know the numbers coming.
Regards Gary
