Obviously but still worth posting.
1.6D temp gauge at around 12 noon most of the time.but during warmer weather and running 50mph on motorway it will creep to 13.00hrs then used to open the heater and stick the fan on high and soon brings it down .but this was getting more frequent so bit the bullet and got the new rad (40mm)core and soon fitted and bled
It's scary now as runs at 10.00hrs and a recent run up to Scotland for a few days saw it vary op to 11.00hrs and you could see the result of the stat opening and closing..fan never came on.
Original rad probably 35 yes old weighed a ton no doubt full of crud inside and out..so £125 solves a problem and saves an engine win win
