Solid coil in a T25?

Hi all, thanks for adding me to such a great forum!. I have recently decided to age myself by a few years and get back into T25 ownership, this time with a Westy joker high top ( previously a vanagon GL camper- I miss that van!). Anyways on to my question - previous owner had changed the carb to a Weber and looking through Haynes, had also messed around with the ignition wiring ... Would dearly love to get it back to original so that i can follow Haynes and Bentley a bit more. Ok apologies, question now here, does anyone recognise the set up?, is it easily changed, should I change it back and out a pierburg on? ( It does run pretty well when warm, bit lumpy on cold .. still yet to cover basics like cleaning, timing etc choke works and carb sweaty).
