removing upper bed structure
Westfalia joker mosaik: 1998 vintage POP top
We will never use the upper bed so looking to remove it . at the moment all I can see is that the front section folds back.
I expected it would be possible to lift it, then drop it a bit, and pass it out through the rear tailgate, however, it must still be secured in some way as it will not move.
Anyone done this before ?
all help appreciated,
TIA

From your images:
i do have the two parts in the first picture , but they are still in the van. I did not remove them as i thought they may be structural , if any one knows that they are not then I could remove them. If they are removable without weakening the roof structure, then it would have to wait until then van is back from Busmeister , not sure when that will be
I dont immediately recognise the last picture but I will check and let you know.
There remains the potential issue of shipping / transporting them as they are unwieldy bulky things, and I am in west Scotland, don’t know where (roughly) you are

Re: removing upper bed structure
Hello, thank you for your reply,
Along of my knowledge, in T3 Joker model Mosaika - non of the parts from picture is structural. However I am not going to undermine any opinion of specialists:)
I am from south of Poland. But I order parts from UK, the most on the North is Glossop SK13 7NU, but around Birmingham or London too. So delivery would not be a big hassle for me.
The 'must be' what I really need - are the small hinges that I had marked in red circle:)
Good luck on your bus conversion:)

Re: removing upper bed structure
I have all the parts including the brackets you want. The light brown structure in the second photo is still attached to the van but could be removed, (assuming it’s not structural). I would prefer it if they went as a complete lot . However where I live is a couple of hundred miles north of Glossop, so the logistics of you getting them is not simple. If you wish to arrange collection you are welcome to all of these parts. I have tried to up load images on this forum but they wont load. Happy to email images to you if you want
Re: removing upper bed structure
There may be a file size limit stopping me uploading the images, 6mb could be too big
Re: removing upper bed structure
After a lot of messing about , these might be the images I am posting about
Or , they may not . As I said happy to email these if you PM me

Posted images in the wrong order
It’s the light brown structure that’s still in the van, obviously
