RCD Extension Lead on 24v Plug Point - ? Mad?

Post by KimKimKim »

Hello, I did look in the Tech Archives - but nothing quite answered this question..

...After an electric hook-up - can you use a rcd 2 or maybe a 4 plug extension cable off the wall socket in the Van..?

Or is that mad...?

Its not for me btw..

With thanks for all help and advice

If it’s a standard campsite hook up, i.e., blue circular ‘commando’ plug, then you’re getting a 16A feed and so it should be fine to stick a 4-way extension on it. Just make sure your hookup cable and any extension are fully uncoiled, and be a bit sensible about how much you plug in.
