Flashing oil light T3 1.9dg

Post by T3manchester »

Hi all
I guess this question has been asked many times, but I can’t find any recent answers.
I’m in Manchester Uk if there’s anyone nearby?
Question is,
The van has been stood for 18 months, I did a full service before it was left not running, waiting for money to do more repairs.
I’ve got it started with a new battery and fuel, but now there’s a flashing red oil light.
Any thoughts on why it’s developed this?
Should I do an oil change to rule out old oil, though the oil in it is as clean as when it went in.
15/40 multigrade oil ?… semi synthetic or mineral?….
Looking forward to hearing from you guys.
Thanks
Dave

Late or early van? I would change oil 15/40 mineral, replace oil switch ( one switch if early van) and go from there.
David.
