Brake Servo.

Post by golfingtam »

Has anyone ever fitted a remote servo to the front brakes only? I am thinking of fitting one for the disc brakes and fitting a separate vacuum pump to my 1600cc campervan. Looking forward to your replies. Thanks in advance.

A long time ago, (early 70,s) I fitted a remote servo from a Ford Corsair to a Mk1 Ford Cortina which I have fitted estate struts with discs to replace the front drum brakes. Took vacuum off inlet manifold though. (petrol) .

Hi hubcap61, was the vehicle you fitted the servo to have dual circuit brakes?  Thanks for your reply.

That strikes me as unsafe.
