I dont know any details other than , all t25s had electronic ignition from the factory .
You need to speak to our Aircooled dept , with either Big Herb (memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=6939). Or Sarran1955 (memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=9864) to name a couple

The original system will be unreliable at best...
Here is an easy option:
Buy a spare sensor, ( to go with your spare alternator brush pack
)
