Good evening chaps,
I’ve been trying to change the front wheel bearings on my 1.9 dg, however I’ve come a cropper to completely seized calliper holder bolts.
I’d like to know how you guys would go about getting these off. They’re 23mm bolts and pretty tricky to access. I’ve tried plenty of WD 40 a big spanner and whacking it with a hammer but no joy - it’s just started to round one of the heads off. Any help is much appreciated!

Re: Calliper Holder Bolt Removal
I did the usual clean them up with a wire brush and WD/Plusgas soak.
Used a mix of a breaker bar and an impact gun to shift mine.
When refitting I put a tiny tiny amount of copper grease on them

They are 22mm head (at least on my late Girlings), best to use 6 sided socket, and a 600mm breaker bar, if you are using a 23mm 12 sided socket then you will round the corners
Re: Calliper Holder Bolt Removal
I have recently been doing a big overhaul of my bus front to back after it been sitting 8 years, a best friend with these old babies is a blow torch, plus gas and quality tools.
Part of the job was full front brake overhaul (lines, plates, disks, pads, calliper refurb).
The calliper hold bolts are some of the tightest on the bus (don't recall the torque now).
Make sure you are using a long breaker bar with a proper 90 degree to the socket. Nice and steady.
Turn the steering so you can access the bolts accordingly.

Thanks for all the advice chaps, the weekend has arrived so I’ll give some of these suggestions a go!
Re: Calliper Holder Bolt Removal
Thanks to you chaps success has been achieved! The bolts are off - with the help of lots of WD 40 a 24” breaker bar with a steel pipe added on the end and an impact gun - probably didn’t need the impact gun but it was a good excuse to get one

Well done.
Now make a goop mess doing those bearings.
