New Fuel Lines

Post by Magic01 »

Hi all,

This is my first post so please be kind 😁 . Just bought my first T25 a tin top, 1.9DG wbx.

I want to update the fuel lines as one of my first jobs as I don't know the history.

I have searched the forum and can not find an answer to my question so apologies if this has been covered before or is a silly question.

In checking the engine over I have established that I have a Weber 34 DAT carburettor and not the standard pierburg. So my question is are the fuel line set ups the same and will the below kits from Brickwerks be ok? I.e. non return valve the same and width/lengths of hose etc.. ? From what I can see I have a line from the tank to the fuel pump and a return from carb to tank plus carb to fuel pump so looks OK to me albeit the fuel pump to carb is a longer run than the pierburg?

Below are links to the kits.

https://brickwerks.co.uk/product/fuel-l ... dg-return/
https://brickwerks.co.uk/product/fuel-l ... l-dg-feed/

Thanks
Paul

Id be inclined to email BW. The tech support and response time is amazing. If you can measure the OD and ID of what there (vernier) ask BW if they sell the same.

Thanks for your help

I did email BW and their response is below

"Sorry no idea, as its not a conversion we’ve ever been involved with.
If you can tell me the length and size of your existing hose though I can check"

I'm happy to measure with a vernier and will double check, do you know though if there should be a non return valve the same, is this standard for all carbs?

Thanks
Paul
