Rear kitchen - what a shame

For years I have been hankering after a T3 and one has just popped up on KGF Classic Cars. If this had been a side kitchen layout with R&R bed, I would be up there like a shot but the bed layout is putting me off (as is the upholstery but I have to accept it's of the period).

How comfy is the bed in these Holdsworth conversions?

Only my opinion but I am not keen on the layout. I have a pretty normal layout in my T25 with a swivel seat at the front and RnR bed at ther back. When the front seat is rotated you have a nice 'lounge' area to sit in. I think the layout in the one you are looking at would be a but of a squeeze! But as I said that is just my opinion!!

That’s an exceptional van.
As you say, shame about the layout.
£26k is a lot of money to pay for it but I guess there are people with that kind of disposable cash somewhere. Unfortunately….not in this household.

I have a holdsworth vision. The layout is different to most other van types and if I bought one again I'd probably go rnr bed and side units but me and the Mrs love the vision lay out. We've always used it as 2 single beds with a walkway down the middle. Great if one wants to go to bed early or lie in. The other can get up, walk the full length of the van and make a brew. It also has a divider you can pull across and use a portaloo inside. The back kitchens alright but I don't find I use a kitchen much bar a brew or warm water for brushing my teeth. Prefer to cook outside. The major downside is if your sozzled and want to climb into your pit then it takes a few mins longer. Totally get why lots hate the layout. Having owned one there are many plus sides. 25k for that. No chance. Decent ones come up in top condition for 10k. Ones that need tlc like mine somewhat less. High contrast photos, 'barn find' sales pitch and a crazy sale price no thanks. The advert says the bodywork has blemishes. Id want a quality synchro for that money. Or a ferrari

I should be fair and say it does look in incredible original condition. It's just the price winds me up. As has been said something is worth what folk are willing to pay (and a bit of jealousy that mines not quite in the same condition)

I found that too. I bought a Holdsworth conversion with ideas of cooking inside. ( It was a side kitchen layout. )
We rarely did cook in there, and instead opted for cooking outside.

When I had resto work done on it, I ripped it all out and couldn't go back. It drove so much better with all that weight gone.
I ended up just installing a Multivan rock and roll bed, a few electrics, and that's it.

The rest goes in an awning.

I've got 2 kids now and can't travel with them in the vision (don't get me started on seatbelts) I was planning on doing the same, ripping everything out and then a multivan rnr. They are like rocking horse poo with all the fittings though. Maybe a small cooking pod that I could remove. My plans depend on which way the wind blows so she sits on the drive getting little use as I procrastinate

The market speaks since the van is still listed whereas KGF normally have a higher turnover of stock. Now what about this Bullibarn one? Still hot on price though ..

They seem to have realised that, now £22k. Perhaps another couple of £4k drops needed?
