Reliable Firm to Service WBX Cylinder Heads

Post by maxstu »

Looking for a local (preferably to Kent) and reliable firm to clean (vapour blast) two WBX cylinder heads, cut angles on new valves, then install guides, new valves and springs, and finally lapping.

Regards

Thought Mr Simmons had too much work on his plate at the moment?
Will email him.

Actually, and absolutely no reflection on Campershack's work, l would prefer a more local firm TBH. Im not keen sending two cylinder heads by courier to the other side of our kingdom.
Hand delivery and collection is best. So Kent or neighbouring counties?

Stu, give James Wotton a bell/email at Vee Dub Performance in Welling as he maybe able to point you in the right direction (www.veedubperformance.co.uk).  He's massively busy but will always get back to you.

You also have Phil Norman at Brickfield Auto's in Ashford - https://brickfieldautos.wixsite.com/classic-vw - I've been down to see these guys and he's currently building a race Beetle - again knows his beans and is a really nice chap & might be able to advise on someone who could do the work.

You could also try Tom at Eagle Auto's but think he mainly does bodywork now but he maybe able to let you know.
