1.9 WBX Oil Light

Post by RustyRed »

Hi all,

OK I have the red oil light on when revs exceeded 2000 ish rpm. Any ideas?

600 miles ago I changed the oil and filter. 15w 40w min. Its been stood waiting for suspension parts for 3 weeks on axle stands on the rear wheels

I have a slight oil leak from the front of the engine but nothing major. Looks like the crank area.

Oil is spotless as I have always over maintained the engine

Wiring multi plug on top of engine looks fine, cleaned a little but it looks good

Shall I do an oil pressure test ? Any pointers is really appreciated because I prey its not an engine issue. Engine runs as normal, no knocking sounds, pulls well.

Pressure in crank removed. Can't get to the other one at the front though, how do you get to this ?

Thanks

There is a post or posts somewhere on the forum, which talks about the location or locations of the oil pressure switches this may help you if you do a search.
