Vacuum Advance Unit, are these interchangeable?

Looking for vac advance unit for my 1.9DG (025905271C) but sadly out of stock on brickwerks - https://brickwerks.co.uk/product/vacuum ... 3-1-9l-dg/

JK seem to think that 043905271 will fit (J10196), not in title but buried in description. Can't see any other sites mention this fitting a DG.

Wondering if anyone has experience of this? I'm thinking it's more likely that JK is wrong rather than the likes of Heritage.

the 043 part number says its not for DG, it might fit but it's not right, only T25/T3 is CT WAN variant, non electronic ignition; I think, that's my reading of parts catalogue

Thanks, think that pretty much agrees with what I'm thinking. Looks like my options are to either see what sort of lead time BW has or look at a whole distributer. Not massively in a rush as there's bigger things going on with the engine...

Hi, I have same issue. DG engine. After full rebuild timed ignition and found vacuum advance broken. I bought a cheap one and the engine is now very down on low rpm torque. I feel it is advancing too much. Before the rebuild it had more torque but was set more advanced than it should have been at tickover with no vacuum I guess to compensate for the broken vacuum.
So did you find a good advance unit for the distributor. I would use brickwerks but they are out of stock.
Does anyone else Iknow the max amount of advance the vacuum should give ?
I am about to tow a boat 300 miles so would appreciate more torque…
Should I just disconnect the vacuum for the time being and slightly advance the low rpm timing, say 3 degrees?

If you remove the vac advance unit then there are 3 numbers stamped on the rod, I believe that they are the last 3 numbers of the Bosch part number.
They are different for a reason. 
Then, there's the thought that anything that works has to be better than something that doesn't but I should imagine that they have different strokes and different internal spring pressures.
