Engine Coolant valve 1.9 water box

Post by somersetgrec1 »

Evening

I need help if possible

I have a leak from the engine plastic bleed valve / Water box.

I did order what I thought to be the correct part from Heritage but I’ve got it wrong.
The part that arrived has the capacity to connect 5 water pipes but the one I need needs to connect to 7 water pipes. ( 2 return to the front of the van)

Can anyone let me know what part I need to order please. Thanks

A reg 1.9 petrol T25

Can you post a picture of what you bought, and what you need?

That's what I was thinking, but I assume an A reg van has the old coolant set up, and I'm not sure what that looks like on those.
( Guessing it has something totally different. )

7 spigot must be the autobox version of this, the one pictured in non suffix, auto is  025 121 082 A, has 2 extra spigots on the back, can't find a picture of one online, it will be very rare, breaker only part I think, more common in the US

a case for some plastic welding to repair the existing one I think

the one I posted is the early version, just not the auto specific one, on the later set up the bleed valve is in the cover of the thermostat housing
