Low Oil Pressure light on idle flickers

I've been reading this with interest.

I had a similar issue - oil pressure light dimly flickering on idle when engine is hot. Van has since been off the road for some time awaiting bodywork restoration. However I have taken the opportunity to fix a number of oil leaks - pushrod tubes, oil pump gasket, crankshaft seals, breather tower, filler tube. Is it possible that it was oil pressure being lost due to leaks that was causing the low pressure light to come on? I also replaced the oil pressure switch at the same time. I'll be interested to see what happens when it is all put back together.
