Re: SA 2.5i fuel filter?
it is shown on the diagram I have on ETOS illustration 201-60 (Fuel pipe, fuel pump, fuel filter) and no part is a fuel filter so maybe the 2.5 needs an inline fuel filter to protect the pump, before the main filter to protect the injectors (like our 2.1s have a primary filter in the tank) but the part number is not shown it is item 12, trouble is ETOS only shows 2.3 and 2.6 engines AFU and ADV, your 2.5 obviously has it but what it is or why it is there isn't clear. I can't remember if the older versions of ETKA had the SA vehicles from the 90s shown at all, or if they had the 2.5 detail
Unfortunately the illustration for the fuel tank is the wrong picture but probably wouldn't make it clear the difference between the 1.8 and 2.3/2.6 tanks, maybe the 2.5 used the same tank as the 1.8, hence this extra filter ? maybe

Would there be any Uk vans fitted with this accumulator , no problem with mine but the solid fuel line from the pump to the accumulator is damaged , its not leaking but sort of squashed.

Re: SA 2.5i fuel filter?
we didn't have the version of fuel injection system used on the 5 pot, mechanical pump injection was only on Golf 1, maybe early 2s I don't know and Audis of the same era. All our fuel lines are semi rigid plastic or rubber

Hi Simon ,
i have an mot booked for next tuesday , i will take it off after that and send it to you.
i had thought it was a solid metal pipe but another look today and it appears to be metal ends with a hard plastic piece in the middle , my very poor picture shows the join.
