Uh, I'd get that fixed rather than drive it
Probably your master's got a leak or the pipes themselves perhaps

Re: oil leak on front floor mats
There was a recent post with similar symptoms regarding this in relation to the brake master cylinder, have a check on previous posts, but in meantime probably not worth taking a risk and driving. Check master cylinder reservoir for fluid levels and nip up any connections, especially if you have had any recent work in this area.

Re: oil leak on front floor mats
could also be clutch master cylinder or feed pipework
Re: oil leak on front floor mats
Took a drive this morning and does not seem to leak anymore. Could it be possible that the oil has all drained out? Clutch seems a little less stiff but drives perfectly otherwise. No apparent leaks on the pipes or clutch/brake pedals

Re: oil leak on front floor mats
Bit worrying when you mention that all oil has drained out, from where
, what level does your hydraulic fluid reservoir show.

Do you mean the one behind the clocks? It's just below the max level

That's the one, always worth checking from time to time as it has no warning indicator when it gets to low, at least that is on earlier models like mine.

Thanks! Should I worry if the level is just the max level mark and the oil leak seems to be stopped?

Re: oil leak on front floor mats
I am no boffin on this subject, but if you had a leak and it has now stopped without doing anything I would investigate further. If the vehicle is left standing for a while without using it there will probably be little pressure on the lines, but as soon as you use it braking, changing gear depressing clutch etc this puts more pressure on the lines and could reintroduce the leak. Just to add whilst parked up, give the area above and around the drip a good clean, have the engine running to aid braking and depress the clutch pedal and brake pedal for a few minutes to simulate driving and see if the leak reappears, it may take some time depending on where the leak is.

Edited my previous post which may have coincided with your reply, have a look at the other ideas I put forward in it.

Re: oil leak on front floor mats
I have a similar leak too, mine is from my clutch master cylinder behind the pedals. worth having a look there!
been trying to find someone to replace mine as I'm not comfortable messing with that , so far no joy!
