Just changed the fan belt and was having a quick look over things prior to hopefully hitting the road next week then I noticed this plastic plug was cracked and hanging off from the hole just beside in the photo.. 





Also noticed this air filter hose had completely disintegrated, anyone got a link for a replacement?

Looks like bellhousing inspection hole plug.

Try BW for the hose

yep just the hole plug, not needed unless you intend to poke your finger in the hole with the engine running, or have a 'thing' about as left the factory. Re the missing air filter hose, not generally needed in the uk climate.

Those won't bother me then.

Been looking all over for any signs of rust, the metal piping that runs around below the rim of the engine bay has a some decay. What is that piping, fuel?

It'll make things easier for people to help if you list the engine type etc in the signature. Also, as before, a photo helps
