Re: Fiamma Awning
It depends which one you get. We have a bag roll out awning that slides into a channel attached to the van just above the gutter. We leave it in all the time. Some of the others are attached with clamps but I don’t have any experience of them apart from the arb awning.
This pic was our old one, we have since got a longer one.
This is my daughters arb awning

Re: Fiamma Awning
Hi
We've fitted ours ( a 3m wind out) to the roof rack using 2 Fiamma Brackett I cut in half to make 4.
The brackets.
The awning in use (not fully out).
It needs a good clean ss-nuts & a rain baffle fitting to the roof rack underneath (all on my to-do list), hope this is of some help.
Regards Gary

Re: Fiamma Awning
I used the standard F45S Fiamma bracket which fits as per image. Very sturdy and height wise is ok at the van door.

Re: Fiamma Awning
We looked at those but to fit the 3m awning we decided it would be preferable to spread the load a bit more. We also needed the awning to be fitted high enough for the slope of the canopy to clear the front passenger door when opened, which the Fiamma brackets didn’t.izzybarnard wrote: ↑27 Feb 2021, 14:15 I used the standard F45S Fiamma bracket which fits as per image. Re: Fiamma Awning
Just saw this thread. I fancy a Fiamma F45s for my T25 but on the JK website it states that the brackets are not for a high top van. There is one in this thread however. Anyone know why they say that?

Re: Fiamma Awning
Evening
A Fiamma F45s fits pretty well on a Hightop I have to say.
We used the brackets as per previous post, had to trim a little and used a shim to pack between the front and rear brackets but not difficult.
The bracket gutter height is fairly good at the slider door height but 100% happy with ours.

Re: Fiamma Awning
Our's is an EMC fiberglass top and doesn't require any cutting or intrusive adjustment to fit the Fiamma bracket/s to the gutter and fiberglass roof.
Not sure about any other fiberglass top/ gutter profile I'm affraid.
Happy to take close up photos of the bracket/gutter and post if it helps.
Cheers

Re: Fiamma Awning
So I am pretty sure that these brackets will fit onto my van so one last question. In the write up for the awning it says:
"Fiamma F45 S awning is equipped with double guide on the lead bar to allow fitting of front panels, shades and a range of useful accessories."
This refers to the slots running along the front. Are these suitable to attach a drive away awning to? I have an awning rail on my high top, well at least I did before I stripped it all down. I don't want to replace it and I am hoping this Fiamma awning will work with the drive away awning I already have.

Re: Fiamma Awning
Afternoon
Yes the two channels allow a driveaway awning to be fitted but as its Fiamma their channels are 6mm not 8mm so you just need to buy a figure of 8 adaptor.

Re: Fiamma Awning
Sorry...... just to clarify the adaptor sizes are 4mm to 6mm and not as previously described above.
