Well all I can say is mine are bog standard m8 35mm long with spreader plates on top with flat washers and nylock nuts , never had a engine fall out in all the years and all the vans I’ve had , and often the old nuts and bolts have been re used .
I wouldn’t be loosing any sleep .
Ive usually replaced them...cos they are normally so rusted to death I ham-fistedly snap them off. I've likely used exhaust bolts as replacements too. Just been outside. Engine still in back of camper.

Ok, so feedback from Brickwerks has confused matters for me. They have spec'd these bolts...
Set Screw - M8x1.25 / 30mm | 8.8 | ZFL
They are certainly not what I expected, not high tensile.
I've also not go the plates. Can anyone find me a set of those please? My Google skills are weak tonight. lol
8.8 is high tensile, that's the correct spec

I know it's all about what you class as being "high tensile", but I thought 8.8 meant they weren't chocolate, but nothing special, 10.9 was where it became "high tensile".
I just had a google after your post, looks like I was wrong about that. 8.8 seem to be the lower end of the high tensile bolts.

E D I T, to slow...
Replay was to maxstu...
That is very kind mate, but I'll find something local; one of my mates will have some suitable steel kicking about if I ask around.
I was just hoping to pick up the correct thing to save fabricating. I feel I've still got a long way to go to get the bus moving & making those up is wasted time.

Personally, I wouldn't use plated fasteners.

Original ones were passivated, ie plated

and Zinc Flake Coating is what the automotive industry use nowadays instead of zinc chromate passivation, both are a form of zinc plating
