Should there be a little bit of stainless J or U section stuck to the panel about here, to stop the spring clip on the inspection hatch scraping the paint off?
Pretty sure that one of the SA built vans used to have one

Yeah I've got a metal "clip" on mine as well.

I replaced the rear panel on mine be interesting to see what that bit of stainless or metal looks like
