


Maybe it's a thought to replace your radiator? I know it's yet more money, but I did it last month and I am very pleased with the results. Mine looked very similar to yours...mounts rusty, bottom of rad nasty... If you have time it's not technically a big job - four bolts to drop it, decouple the wires, drain the coolant. I took the time to de-rust, zinc and repaint the mounts, plus rusty bits on fan shroud etc.
I used to run with a temp gauge about 3/5s. Now it barely hits 1/2. Here's a few pics of what mine looked like.
Course this may not solve your overheating problem...
