Hello there,
New owner here,  just purchased a lime green t25 1981.
at the risk of getting laughed off the forum on my 1st post is the smell of engine and fumes inside a normal part of the experience?
just want to get an idea of general views on this before I poison  myself into a happy blank faced sleep....

Not really no, (at least for me)  if it's petrol fumes you can smell.. check your fuel tank / pipes and breathers to make sure they are OK.

If it's burning oil smell & you have air cooled it may be ready for new push rod tubes.

Re: Fumes noobie
Air cooled? Might have leaky/rusty heat exchangers ( that feed the cabin heater)
