You can do it yourself for ~£30.  There's reseal/refurb kits avail and plenty of online and forum instruction.  You just need to devote some time and have a good workspace.

Yeah, I’ve done a few myself but once you’ve bought the gasket kit and spent a few hours on it, it’s no more expensive to send it away. They will also set up your mixture and idle and get all the ancillaries, choke & vacuum components tested too. You can’t do that at home on a kitchen table
