I have recently been having an issue with my 2.0cu air cooled engine. It’s been standing for a while but has been started regularly. The issue is that it will start and idle but as soon as I put my foot down it dies down and will cut out unless I lift my foot again. I have replaced plugs and distributor cap, HT leads and fuel filter. I have also sprayed carb cleaner into the top of the carbs after taking off the air filter. Still makes no difference. I’m stuck as to what the issue might be as I have read various posts and changed the things it recommended.

Re: Fuel starvation?
Is that an injection setup? Sounds like air intake or blocked carb to me? Worth checking fuel pump to.

I tried spraying to clean carb and think this may have been the issue as it’s improved massively. I changed the fuel tank a while back and maybe some crap got in then.
Thanks both for the advice though, appreciate it
