T25 turret pop up alternatives

Hey everyone,

Am currently gutting our T25 ready for bodyshop and respray, then its on to interior.

I'm looking at raising a 1/4 section of roof for cooking, just like the turret pop ups. However finding the full kit, rather than just the fabric or a spare gas strut has proved tricky, especially for a T25, on a bit of a budget.

So i'm looking at roof vents that have enough of a rise when lifted to allow someone to cook standing upright and rectangular so it's not too claustraphobic.

It can't have a strut in the middle of it, no fans etc, and an added bonus would be to allow access to the roof box.

Has anyone done something similar, or can suggest alternatives? Even thought about buying 4 gas struts like these ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tiberham-Suppo ... YVGC015STV" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ), and fabricating a frame around a thick glass showerscreen I have.
