Slow filling underslung gas tank ?

I know this matter was discussed in 2015, however, the problem of a 'slow filling gas tank' was not really resolved and I have encountered the same problem.

Used the right adaptor, hose gun fits well, but when button pressed a very slow fill happens !? 5 mins to input 1.5 ltr
I know the tank is empty because it has just been removed for painting (hot powder coat) all fitting removed for this job.

Guess there is a non return valve on the inlet connection!? Anyone with a gas tank drawing and/or inlet connection details please.

Any ideas appreciated, still cooking on charcoal

AH, now I know why the tank was reluctant to accept gas filling, the inlet float valve can be fitted in two positions so that the arm moves vertically when installed, mine was upside down! therefore simulating a full tank and 'closed the inlet valve' hence I could not fill. Unscrewed the float valve, marked the fitting on the outside so I could screw back in to ensure the float was in the correct position ! Problem solved

Thanks, that's really useful. I think my valve is actually marked with 'TOP'.
