Well maybe, maybe not.
A sticker isn't going to last as long as a printed / painted badge, going to have to be careful when washing the van not to peel the edges.
how much was a new badge?

I didn't use it for long as I prefer having the correct Caravelle GL badge on my bus

no CAD when I first started work, engineering drawings in ink needed the ink scatching off for modification, printed circuit board layouts were done with tape, it's a long time ago now.

Fitted another today but with badge on the van and it was just as easy.
fixed the door at a good working height and angle

found a good use for the ink roller to make sure it's well stuck down

Still perfect, applying anything adhesive needs to be clean and dry and tape is usually pressure sensitive which is why I rollered it after applying.

I did mine the cheap way and assuming the metallic lettering is still good. I taped some cloth to my work bench, keeping the cloth taught, and sprayed some solvent on. I then sprayed the badge in satin black plasticoat. I then flipped the badge upside down and wiped the badge along the cloth, thus wiping the paint off the surface, exposing the metallic lettering. Cheap as chips and still looks good 4 years on.
