Oil light flashing

Oil light flashes on idling and at low revs. I fear the worst (as always) :(

What to do?!

Check the oil pressure is my advice.

when I first got my van the oil light came on flickering at idle just visible.
Mine turned out to be wire sitting on exhaust but I went through all the oil pressure tests to make sure I had good pressure.

Mine does this on a long run at idle but as soon as you touch the throttle it stops. Previous owner replaced oil pressure switch, which supposedly cured it but still happens. Oil level etc all fine.
