RM4200. According to downloaded instructions switches will illuminate when running. Neither 240 or 12 light up. So ripped apart 12 volt rocker switch and theres no place for a bulb. Just a spring and a metal switch tab? Is this normal? Also compated against my van's 2200 model switches are inverted. But shows this way up on manual...l dont understand.

I've got one very similar to that in my truck, new in 2006.
The switches do light up when operating, but mine a clear type plasic lens, rather than opaque as yours are. Pretty sure you could replace the lens covers and add the bulb holders somehow

Yes thats right. Same in my other van. Clear type and light up. However manual says they illuminate? Very strange
