Don't really know which way to turn. The RM212 fridge in my van has been failing over the past year in that it won't cool on Gas (but 240v is ok!). You can see the burner through the little window the same as always (blue flame). I've had it out and turned it upside down etc. and also stripped it down and cleared the dust and rust. It looks to me like I need to replace. Reluctant to replace with another RM212 (lots on ebay etc.) as they're just as old and may fail soon too. I've seen the recommended direct replacement, a RM5310 (iirc) but it's anything upwards of £650!!! I've seen alternatives too, like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dometic-Comb ... 2377458044" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Caravan-Moto ... 1830586504" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but slightly worried that there are pit falls like flue parts (and compatibility with the vent on the side of the van) and gas fittings etc.
Has anyone else got any experience in this area? Anything to watch out for? Companies that can help? All advice most appreciated
I think most people upgrade to a Waeco CRX50. Its a compressor fridge so you don't have to worry about the flue at the back and it has such a low power draw you can run it off a leisure battery.

Thanks
Dickie.
No need to turn it upside down if it runs OK on 230v! That is only for one that needs the refrigerant remixing.
Check that the baffle is correctly placed in the burner tube - that is vital for correct operation.
Even if you see a flame it means nothing. Remove the injector & thoroughly clean it by soaking it in spirits overnight. Better still get a new one, brickwerks sell them.
I'll eat my hat if the problem isn't a blocked injector.
