Repairing Rust

Post by LeeCarey »

Hi, Im starting to get a lot of rust appearing around the seals of my T25 but the worst is around my side door. I want to fix this sooner rather than later but want to know if you have any advice on how I can tackle this. A small hole is also now starting to appear so I assume this will need some kind of welding involved. Can you tell me the best way of fixing this and if welding is required if there are contacts in the Sutton/Surrey area. I have attached a picture of the offending yellow stuff

Thanks

:D

Yes that will need a repair patch welding in. So its a window out job.

Its like Sutton is the new T25 heaven

The only local garage who I'd trust with anything T25 is VW Airfix - chap called Darren, I think JedtheSpread (also based in Sutton) uses him as well. He is based in Wallington:

DO cut all the rust out before welding over it. or the welded bit will dissolve in time
