Can anyone confirm the dimensions/details for the studs to mount a Pierburg 2e3 to the inlet manifold on a DG engine?
I think they might be M6x135 and/or part no. 025 129 693 but I'm not sure. I think I can get them from VW Classic Parts but if not, anyone know a supplier for something generic at short notice?
Just to be clear what I'm talking about, it's the 3 studs in the inlet manifold here which I've borrowed from ItchyFeet's photo.

Thanks for the help. I've ordered a random selection of hex bolts to test it out and then probably get some studding cut if they aren't in the right range. Difficult to narrow down further but pretty sure they are an M6 thread at least.
Hopefully this is the last surprise I have to contend with but I doubt it.
I can tell you what thread size when I get home just not the length accurately.

Realise I went about this slightly wrong. My thinking was if I got in the right ballpark with the bolts I'd cut the head off and put a nut on as I could only find 1m length studs at short notice. Probably should have just dropped the cash on the studding in the first place...
I buy 10 x 1m lengths of 6mm studding at a time to cut down for the studs that I use. (+ others). I would spend a fortune if I used the oem studs. 6mm studding is handy to have around - handbrake cable repair etc.
Excellent, thanks for confirming. And yes, Weber to Pierburg (actually one of those Brosol's) and I have the spacer and gaskets already. So hopefully with the studs that'll be everything I need and then it's on to the next challenge.
I think the linkage is still original but that is going by eye - I could be wrong once I pull the Weber off. I've found a scan of fitting instructions for the Weber 34 DAT online and it doesn't suggest the linkage had to be modified in any way.
Was hoping to start work on it tonight but got back late from work and it was raining. Will fettle in the morning
One more thing, you will probably need to threadlock the studding in because you need nylock nuts at the top and they will pull the studding out later when/if you remove it.
Everything went on quite nicely. No more surprises which I was pleased with.
Engine fired up first time which made me smile, although I've got a bit of fiddling to do to set the choke and idle speed as it's not right yet. Idle's nicely when warm but has a bit of bother maintaining idle when cold.
Not sure about the accelerator pump though. On a quick test drive I had a bit of hesitation when opening the throttle. I'll re-check the timing before doing anything else now but I've got to stop before the neighbours get fed up of me running and revving the engine at unsociable hours.
