So the person even admits to putting it on wrong and it still held.

Ok so the Clutch Claw prevented a drive-away theft, but its open-frame design means that leverage is easily applied and that resulted in a bent blake pedal.
In a T3 that means a dash-out job and a lot of hours to put it right again.
A safe-t-pedal prevents that sort of attack because it completely covers all of the pedals, but is rather more bulky.
I have no axe to grind either way, you can choose convenience or effectiveness and I have no connection with either manufacturer.

Been looking at these various options. At present just have battery cut off switches, so wanting to beef up security especially as I tend to use my van as a base for bike rides.
With the Clutch Claw do people use the vw bay window version for T25s
