My 1982, 2 litre air-cooled T25 is causing me some problems. Since having its MOT when the engine is up to temperature and the van is being driven, under load, there was a backfire through the carburettor. In turn this would then blow the brake servo pipe off, killing the engine. You then couldn't drive the van until the engine had cooled down and you could start all over again.
To solve this problem I adjusted the timing, advanced it slightly, and problem went away. It idles slightly fast but the idle screw does not do a thing if you adjust it!?
Test drive the van for a while and everything seems ok. However now there is a massive oil leak. I can't see exactly where it is coming g from but it is alot of oil all over the driver's side heat exchanger. This leak was not there before I adjusted the timing. Is it possible that by adjusting the timing I have just pushed this built up pressure further down the line. From the carb to somewhere else thus forcing oil out from somewhere??
If so what do I do?
Too much pressure!?

maybe try a private message.
He also has alot of videos on you tube that will help you undetstand what you engine is up to
