Rear Brake Rebuild Kit Question

Post by gollfy »

Hi All,

I have started to renew my rear brakes and naturally bought new springs etc in a kit.

My question is I am left with a horseshoe clip and a slightly curved washer. I have yet to connect up the hand brake cable.

Are these bits I have left required for the handbrake cable?

Van is a 86, 1.9DG

Cheers
Dave

If the handbrake levers where pre assembled to the shoes then you don't use the horse shoe clips or washers, they are included for Bay window vans as you have to fit the levers to the shoes.
