2.1l petrol fuel hose replacement

Post by Born Too Late »

Hi all, I'm after a bit of fuel hose advice please.

The Wiki recommends replacing the hoses in injected engines is a dealer only job, unfortunately my local dealer won't touch vans. The question is, do I go to the hassle of taking it to another main dealer 40 miles away on a Saturday and not be able to pick it up until the following Saturday, or do I trust the job to a local gargae who only do VW/Audis but who aren't a mani dealer?

What would you do?

Many thanks

Did you decide what to do Wes?

I was planning on doing this this weekend on my 1.9, and have never heard anyone suggest that it can't be done at home before.

Anything can be done at home with the right skills
1.9DG is easier than the 2.1
Do yourself a favour and buy the 100% ethynol pipe from Brickwerks, 5.5mm for DG ( 7.3mm for DJ except tank to pump)
new clips too OD is 11mm for DG and 13mm for DJ
