Re: Suspension Knocking
Yes, thinking about it, I think I may have used a small trolley jack to get mine through.

I used a crow bar and my own weight (no weight really as I'm skinny as a rake) to bring the link down enough to get the bolt on

I am sure that the large herbivorious gentleman posted the answer somewhere recently but cannot find it at present.
Found it but I don't think that it makes it much clearer https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... 2#p8189072

Re: Suspension Knocking
how I got my drop link on was , hot water soak , lots of grease and brut force , jammed one end of the roll bar into a corner and then just forced the link over the end ,, mine seemed to be on upside down right from he start so I ended up fitting it wrong once and then having to swap it all over again lol

Suspension Knocking

Resolved. (Red line = steering column). Knocking came from steering column hitting anti roll bar after I'd lowered it on -70mm springs. It may have always been upside down, not sure. Anyway with dip on bar at the bottom now, problem solved. I changed all the mounting rubbers anyway. Big bar and a friend to get lower bush nut on (30Nm).
