Tow Hitch wiring?

Post by mrmuch »

Greetings everybody,
i'm going to fit my towbar in the next couple of days and am wondering if there will be any sort of connector block present/available to plug in the electrics or will i have to splice into the exhisting wiring?

In the upper left hand side of the engine bay there is a black plastic junction box which has the rear light connectors in it. Is this where i might be able to fit a connecting block?

any help will be very much apprieciated

I believe the brown wire is the earth,
green and black is the drivers indicator,
white and black is the passengers indicator,
red and black is the brake lights,
grey and white is the foglamp,
red and grey is the rear light,
black and grey the other rear light

please point out if i am wrong , you'll save me loads of time! :?

cheers and thanks-Much

Try this, starting with,,,,

Terminal 1,,,,,Yellow,,,,,,,,,,= Left hand indicator
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,2,,,,,Blue,,,,,,,,,,,,=Rear fog lamp
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,3,,,,,White,,,,,,,,,,=Common Return
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,4,,,,,Green,,,,,,,,,=Right hand indicator
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,5,,,,,Brown,,,,,,,, =Right hand side lamp
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,6,,,,,Red,,,,,,,,,,,, =Stop lamps
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,7,,,,,,Black,,,,,,,,,,= Left hand rear lamp

I think yours must be taken from one of Silcocks Waltzers or summat

Regards,

Fritz,,,,,,, :D
PS, the socket terminals and pins are numbered. And wires are usually linked up behind the rear lamps (soldered if possible).
One day you will find me,,
Driving in my Camper,
With a Surf and Paisley wrap on both sides....
