Did an oil 15w 40 &filter change last week.Driving up the motorway 60/70 MPH this afternoon the oil light and buzzer came on.Managed to pull over, turned the engine off and restarted it,no light or buzzer for the last 12 miles on A roads 30/40 MPH.Could this be the oil getting hot and thinning. This happened a couple of years ago when the weather was hot like today.

Re: BOD
Yep, probably low pressure generally and on a hot day it steps over the line.
My old DG did this, i got a few more years with 20w50 but in the end it got rebuilt.
Do an oil pressure check to be sure it's not electrical gremlins
