Gear Linkage length 5 spd

Hi
Having a horrific time with my Frankenstein gear linkage. Does anyone know if the petrol rear section is shorter than the diesel please?

As far as I know there is no difference.

5 speed front section is the same for petrol and diesel, only the rear section is petrol or diesel shape.
