Driving along when my lights on buzzer went off. It should only go off when the engines turned off. There is a dummy alarm led fitted which activates when the ignition is switched off which was also flashing. Lastly I can't put full or dipped beam on. I've only got sides. Just found out I have no heater fan or windscreen wipers. When I turn the windscreen wipers when the key is out my tail lights come on
I've swapped the light switch and checked that the ignition wires are still attached and wiggled to check nothings loose - buzzer still sounds with engine running.
Does this sound like yet another ignition switch failure (it's about 2 months old replacing another that lasted about that long, which replaced another which didnt last long) or has anyone other ideas?
Bought
New wiper stalk
new indicator stalk
new light switch
new ignition switch
Fingers crossed

Re: crazy electrics again
It was the ignition switch. The X prong had been pushed out of shape. I do remember that a couple of weeks ago I couldn't turn the key and had to use less than gentle persuasion. Bit of an odd thing to happen. A couple of years ago a garage lost my key and had to replace all the locks, with the number of ignition switches Ive been through I wonder if the ignition barrel is damaged in some way.
Also stripped the thread on the wiper lever so I'll need to get a second hand one.
