Which battery

Post by Dylan79 »

Hi guys, I've got a 1979 T25 LHD, the battery that I've got is an 065 and its dead. I think this battery might be the wrong one, could the right one be an 075??

Thanks

If it's going under the seat just make sure it's no higher than 175mm & 205mm long. Plenty of choice if you google around.

I got my battery from Tanya. It's a 075, bosch s5. Fits great. If you sign up to their newsletter they send you a code for 10% off.

Bosch batteries are made by Varta but are about a tenner more expensive. Get the Varta version & save some money.

Type 075 was standard for petrol engined buses, 096 for the diesels.

Type 100 will give you the same 'low profile' height but with higher capacity.

Lifetime guarantee battery?
More expensive but pay out once and when it falls over - replaced under warranty!!?

Halfords e.g.. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs- ... attery-010" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is a starter battery (as was fitted by Westfalia originally) not officially meant for use as a leisure battery so likely to mean the guarantee won't apply (if you happen to mention this!!! :wink: )

This is the way Im going to go. :ok

If anyone needs a really cheap battery for their petrol van, a quick reminder that GSF have a 55% off code (as they do nearly every week).
It's currently (until the end of today):
SMR55
and it makes their cheapy type 075 Vtech battery just £35 delivered.
OK, it's only 55Ah, but it'll work, has a 3 year warranty, and you won't get much cheaper.
