front gearbox mount

A friend had his front gearbox mount welded up due to two of the four bolt that holds it are strip.I was wondering if there is anything wrong with this thanks.

Welded to the underside of the van? Nothing wrong as such apart from being a little trickier to align if/when you change gearbox. Bit of a numbnut thing to do though when it wouldn't have been very difficult to extract the studs in the first place. Hope that helps.
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?

Yep thanks we were just having a talk over a few drinks abut it.the mount had four bolts holding it and no studs.I said to retap the threads and put some new bolts it.
